ENFIN. Enfin les températures sont à nouveau tolérables (comprenez au dessus de 20), je peux à nouveau ouvrir la fenêtre, écouter le bruit du vent dans les arbres, ça fait un bien fou. J’en ai marre d’avoir froid 9 mois sur 12. Bref. Vivement l’été et la vraie chaleur.
Physiquement, mon Covid long semble dans une phase de rémission (guérison, j’espère ?). En tout cas je tousse moins, mes poumons et mon cœur semblent calmés, ce qui permet de faire des trucs cool presque comme avant (mon genou m’a d’ailleurs gentiment rappelé son existence à cette occasion).
Côté écriture, il a fallu jongler entre les crises de douleur et la fatigue. J’aurai au final aligné un peu plus de 8000 mots, toujours sur Never Tear Us Apart.
Étant donné qu’on a eu notre première dose de 5G, on a planifié neuf jours de vacances chez le père de Mr en Août. Sans honte aucune, puisqu’il m’a laissé le choix des dates, j’ai calé ça sur le pic d’activité des Perséides (parce que tant qu’à bénéficier du super ciel dû au fait qu’il habite en pleine cambrousse, autant en profiter à fond). Bref, j’ai deux mois pour préparer ça. Et non, je n’achèterai pas de télescope. Enfin, je vais *essayer de ne pas acheter de télescope.
Avoir des projets, ça fait du bien. Ça n’améliore pas la santé, mais le moral, si.
Petite baisse de rythme avec 8 critiques (dont deux mangas). On n’est pas si loin de ma vitesse de croisière ceci dit, surtout maintenant que les Harlequin vintage, c’est terminé. Retour à des lectures plus longues !
Et là-dedans ? Eh bien, presque que du bon ! Si Agatha Christie demeure indéboulonnable avec Cards on the Table (lu en VO, mais disponible en français), La maison inachevée a bien failli passer devant. Les deux tomes sortis de Ravinger et Ward ne sont vraiment pas loin derrière, et Fête et défaites m’a réconcilié avec la blanche.

Avec 11 points, le défi PKJ n’est pas vraiment un succès ce mois-ci… mais bon, je n’ai pas beaucoup lu, donc rien d’étonnant.
Le colis des US contenant les sorties Harlequin de Mars et Avril est arrivé… mais à côté de ça, il y a eu quelques craquages, des service presse et de vieilles précos qui traînaient. Bilan : un mois relativement chargé.

Après plus d’un an et demi sans y avoir mis les pieds, impossible de ne pas entrer dans la librairie Durance en passant à côté lors du trajet retour de la première vaccination. Comme il fallait choisir vite et sans trop tripoter les livres, j’ai pris le premier truc qui m’a semblé intéressant (après avoir reposé un autre livre, moins emballant).

Verdict ? C’est bon, et même très bon, pour devenir carrément très très bon dans le second volet. Aussi bon que la tonne de petits gâteaux qu’il y a dedans ! (Vite, la suite.)

Mais, pour Vassia, ces histoires sont bien plus que cela. En effet, elle est la seule de la fratrie à voir les esprits protecteurs de la maison, à entendre l’appel insistant des sombres forces nichées au plus profond de la forêt.
Ce qui n’est pas du goût de la nouvelle femme de son père, dévote acharnée, bien décidée à éradiquer de son foyer les superstitions ancestrales.
Celui-là, c’est un choix stratégique. J’avais déjà le tome 1 en simple, mais ça m’aurait coûté plus cher de finir la série que de prendre l’intégrale.

En début de mois, j’ai réussi à photographier l’amas de la Crèche. Ça n’est pas du grand art, mais a priori en ville et sans filtre je ne pourrai pas faire mieux.
Je n’ai pas trié les photos de la sortie vaccin. Certaines finiront dans le photobook, d’autres ont juste besoin que j’y consacre du temps…
… Un nouvel arrivant « imprévu » mais pas vraiment en fait. La figma Terracotta m’avait tapé dans l’œil dès son annonce, il y a un an de ça, mais je m’étais dit que je pourrais m’en passer. Et puis un an, j’avais trouvé ça long, je ne me voyais absolument pas précommander un truc si longtemps à l’avance sans avoir la moindre idée de ce que serait ma situation à ce moment-là.
… Évidemment, quelques mois plus tard, j’ai amèrement regretté de ne pas l’avoir réservé en réalisant son potentiel photographique incroyable. A donc commencé la veille régulière du site de Good Smile pour connaître sa date de sortie, puis des sites marchands pour essayer d’en choper un. Technique qui avait déjà échoué en Novembre pour mon cadeau de Noël, mais qui, cette fois, a porté ses fruits.
L’autre news du mois, c’est le retour à la maison de Hyeseong, sur qui Dark Dojy a fait, une fois de plus, des miracles.
Quand j’ai commandé le Qiong Qi en… Janvier 2020, je n’avais aucune idée, même pas vague, de ce que j’allais faire avec. C’est finalement fin Juillet, après le départ de la comète Neowise, que j’ai su. Ça me manquait de chercher la comète dans le ciel tous les soirs, ce perso serait donc à thème céleste. A ce moment-là, j’ignorais que mon intérêt pour l’astronomie serait réveillé quelques mois plus tard pour ne plus s’éteindre depuis…
Du coup, le contretemps dû à la réception de la doll sans le make-up de la compagnie lui a plutôt été bénéfique, en me permettant d’affiner le concept, que Dark Dojy a très bien su saisir par la suite.
Après tout ce temps, ces péripéties et de nombreuses soirées passées le nez en l’air à scruter le ciel, ça a fait franchement bizarre de finalement voir le perso terminé, d’avoir une doll finalement pas seulement liée à un moment très fort de 2020, mais à une de mes passions, de la même façon que Kurat est relié au hardstyle, Amber aux livres ou Stellie à Disney.
Dàshǔ a eu droit à un shooting d’arrivée vite fait, c’est pas terrible mais j’avais dit que j’uploaderais ce genre de trucs, alors voilà :
Enfin, en début de mois, j’ai pris un peu plus tôt que prévu une petite bestiole à huit pattes de chez Miss Nekotaku qui ne devrait pas tarder à arriver…
