C’est avec beaucoup de retard qu’arrive l’article du mois, mon état physique n’ayant clairement pas aidé. Conséquence logique, Novembre a été un petit mois niveau écriture et également plus calme côté lecture.
Les lectures du mois
Avec « seulement » cinq critiques, ce mois remporte la palme du moins prolifique depuis… Février 2019. Entre les soucis de Pc en début de mois, les quelques soirées écritures, mon rythme de sommeil passé pour de bon en mode naturel (4h du mat semble être devenu mon heure de coucher standard), la migraine, les crises de douleur… Bref, il m’a fallu quasiment une semaine pour finir chaque livre, oui oui, même ceux de 300 pages.
LE livre à retenir ce mois-ci, c’est sans hésitation Le Saboteur, un excellent Cussler qui rejoint le podium des meilleurs que j’ai lus aux côtés d’Atlantide et The Emperor’s Revenge.

Sans surprise, la romance de Noël occupe une bonne place dans le loot du mois, aux côtés d’une série en japonais qui me tentait depuis presque dix ans. A côté de ça, vous trouverez aussi un peu de polar, de fantastique, et même de la non-fiction.

Ma critique sur Babelio (2/10)
A l’instar de la Bibliothèque de la Pléiade, d’un moteur 12 cylindres Aston Martin, du Château-Lafite 1986, le nom même de la marque Orient-Express s’identifie d’emblée à l’excellence, à l’insurpassable, à la perfection baudelairienne, « luxe, calme et beauté ». Ces deux mots somme toute banals quand ils ne sont pas rapprochés, revêtent en leur association le merveilleux pouvoir de prêter à la rêverie, au souvenir, à la fantaisie. Mieux encore, ce moyen de transport universel qu’est le chemin de fer devient alors objet poétique, propre à inspirer les poètes, justement, comme le démontre l’anthologie proposée en ces pages. C’est bel et bien à un voyage qu’en toute logique nous convions nos lecteurs, qui se verront narrer, illustrations de toutes sortes à l’appui, la belle histoire de ce train de référence à nouveau sur les rails dans un délai proche. L’Orient Express nous renvoie au passé en un musée du raffinement, mais existe ô combien au présent par la grâce du cinéma, dans ses acceptions visuelles les plus effrénées. L’Orient-Express renaît, trait d’union toujours nécessaire entre l’Est et l’Ouest, que les plumes ici rassemblées, celles des écrivains comme des illustrateurs, célèbrent avec la ferveur qui convient. Au fond, Orient Express, au-delà même de ce qui lui correspond, convois ou lieux de résidence, mobiles ou immobiles, c’est un média, vecteur d’images et de significations de toute sorte, et qui parle à chacun. Sans doute aussi parce que l’Orient Express véhicule, c’est le mot, une expérience pluri-sensuelle : on s’enchante à la vue de la décoration d’art, on entend le sifflet de la locomotive et le bruit des essieux sur les voies, on respire les effluves du cuir de décoration et des grands crus de la voiture-restaurant, on éprouve la douceur des tapisseries de compartiment et du linge de toilette, on savoure à table la finesse des mets. A quoi s’ajoute un sixième sens, la mémoire : un voyage à bord de l’Orient-Express se révèle, au sens propre, inoubliable. Vous êtes attendus, en voiture !
Les livres sur le sujet coûtent la peau du derche, à l’exception de celui-ci. Du coup…
Impossible de s’embrasser, ce serait inconvenant. Ridicule de se serrer la main : ils n’en sont plus là. Ils s’adressent un long regard silencieux, qui ressemble à une promesse.
Tout à l’heure, quand il rentrera chez lui, Marcel écrira ce regard. Et qui sait, il écrira peut-être un livre au sujet des hommes qui s’aiment sans pouvoir se le dire. En attendant, depuis le quai, levant la tête, il suit Bertrand, grimpé à bord, et qui remonte son couloir, guidé par un groom empressé.

Depuis le temps que je devais les racheter en VO, c’est chose faite. Quand à la série VF, je l’ai mise en vente plus tôt que prévu pour couvrir les frais véto de Myrtille, au lieu de la laisser prendre la poussière chez moi en attendant de pouvoir déposer ça à la bouquinerie.

… Rien à signaler, j’avais trop mal pour faire des trucs.

… il y a eu quelques nouveautés. Cherry, Sunny et Tomoe, offertes par mon copain, mais aussi Icie, qui traînait en réalité chez moi depuis une éternité à l’état de tête volante et à qui j’ai décidé d’offrir un coup sur un coup de tête (lol).
Puisqu’il fallait se faire la main avec Exposure, j’ai pris une photo à l’arrache d’Oodenta Mitsuyo devant le tableau accroché dans mon bureau. L’ensemble a un rendu « doux » que j’aime beaucoup.

En temps normal, je n’uploaderais jamais une photo prise et retouchée à l’arrache comme ça, mais le 9 du mois, le 10e anniversaire de l’arrivée de Sven marquait également mes dix ans dans le hobby dollesque ^^
Enfin, j’ai étrenné mes fonds photo fraîchement reçus avec Tomoe, mon cadeau d’anniv de couple arrivée plus d’un mois à la bourre.
Côté dessin…
Un bon indicateur de ma douleur : quand je sors l’aquarelle tard le soir.
Mr a récupéré Procreate sur son ipad, ce qui m’a permis de tester des trucs…
… Le lendemain, Tim du blog Urbex Glauque Land, illustrateur, lançait le challenge « Sans les yeux » consistant à dessiner son avatar Twitter les yeux bandés. A ce moment-là, l’avatar en question était la photo d’Oodenta Mitsuyo visible ci-dessus. Je l’ai ensuite dessiné avec les yeux, histoire de.
Pas du dessin mais du coloriage, quand j’ai eu besoin de me changer les idées. J’ai fini par entamer les planches offertes par les Gardens by the Bay sur leur site.
